PRIDE AT Q

PRIDE AT Q // INFO

Q Theatre has been part of Auckland Pride Festival since we hosted the Pride Gala in 2013 and it just gets bigger and better every year.

Auckland Pride 2019 is about connecting people with purpose. Powerful communities are created only when individuals join together around a common idea.

E kore e taea e te whenu kotahi ki te raranga i te whāriki kia mōhio tātou ki a tātou.
The tapestry of understanding cannot be woven by one strand alone.

Auckland Pride at Q is an inclusive, supportive and professional experience.

Q’s annual Pride programme creates a platform for LGBTQIA+ artists, celebrates the LGBTQIA+ experience, explores the multiplicity of identity and creates opportunities for artists to present work in the festival context that Auckland Pride generates, in a meaningful and impactful way, one which speaks to the human experience.

In 2018, Q’s Auckland Pride programme presented 10 seasons and events, with over 4500 people attending 28 performances with an average capacity of over 75%.
