Foundation Partner: Auckland City Council has contributed a total of $9.6million as well as the land and existing buildings at 305 Queen Street towards the building of Q Theatre. The Council has worked in partnership with the New Theatre Initiative and Q Theatre throughout the development of the project, aiding with planning, modelling, research and community consultation. Additionally, the Auckland City Council has contributed yearly operational funding to the organisation and has helped to fund Q Theatre's inner-city office costs alongside Massive Company and Playmarket through the Accommodation Support Fund. Supporting Q Theatre delivers on council’s strategic objectives for the arts and council’s vision for the Aotea Quarter to be the city’s cultural heart and arts and entertainment hub |

Major Supporter: Q Theatre is one of ASB Community Trust’s largest funded projects with a total of $4.45million committed to the building costs. The Trust supports projects that foster access, engagement and experience in the arts and cultural opportunities for all our region’s citizens. ASB Community Trust decides on grants for groups and projects in Auckland and Northland each month. Using funds from the sale of its shareholding in the Auckland Savings Bank, the Trust has granted almost $700m since being formed in 1988. |

Major Supporter: The Lottery Grants Board is pleased that through the Significant Projects Fund it is able to contribute up to $6.05million as a last on funder to the construction of a flexible new theatre space in the heart of Auckland. The Significant Projects Fund is committed to developing and preserving New Zealand’s unique culture and national identity through community participation. In particular, it contributes to the completion of large-scale projects of benefit to the community. |
