COVID-19 Protection Framework at Q - Policy

In keeping with our health and safety mandate to provide a primary duty of care to our staff and all others who enter our venue are we are committed to the following policy.

BACKGROUND

In order to maintain a tolerable health and safety risk, while under any level of the Government’s COVID-19 Protection Framework, Q Theatre will become a venue that requires anyone who enters to present a valid My Vaccine Pass from the Ministry of Health. Additionally, we will also require any staff working on-site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This will allow us to ensure the safety of our staff, hirers, audience, contractors and other public and to protect these persons from infection and transmission of COVID-19. This Policy applies to anyone who enters Q Theatre (305 Queen St, Auckland City, 1010), including but not limited to staff, hirers, performers, contractors, audience and members of the public.

POLICY STATEMENT

In keeping with our health and safety mandate to provide a primary duty of care to our staff and all others who enter our venue are we are committed:

  • to protecting our employees, contractors, hirers and audiences from the harmful effects of COVID-19; and
  • to playing our part in minimising the risk of COVID-19 transmission within our workplace and the wider community

The Ministry of Health has identified vaccination against COVID-19 as a vital measure for reducing infection and transmission, and the use of the My Vaccine Pass system as a control to allow businesses to open at regular capacities. Consequently, we intend to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission within our venue by:

  1. Requiring all staff who are working in the building to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  2. Requiring any person who wishes to visit Q Theatre to present a valid Ministry of Health issued My Vaccine Pass. Entry will be monitored further by only be permitting entry to persons who (a) present a valid My Vaccine Pass, and (b) who have scanned in using the Covid-19 TracerApp or entered their details in the paper register provided.
  3. Complying with all applicable current public health advice in relation to audience attendance at venues when live performances are able to take place and food and beverage is supplied.

IMPORTANT TERMS

For the purposes of this Policy:

  • Valid My Vaccine Pass means an individual’s personal Ministry of Health generated pass is up to date and scans successfully into the incoming system from the government, alongside valid photo ID confirming they are the legitimate owner of this pass.
  • Fully vaccinated means a person who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19. A person will be regarded as fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine (delivered at least 21 days after the first dose) or such other vaccination that is endorsed by the Ministry of Health (or equivalent from OECD jurisdictions), as well as any booster vaccination in the time recommended by the Ministry of Health.

PRIVACY

We will ensure that all information provided by you as part of this Policy is handled in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020.

CHANGES TO THE POLICY

Senior Leadership will regularly review this Policy to reflect the changing nature of the COVID-19 virus and public health requirements and guidelines (including in relation to booster shots). Consequently, we may vary, amend, or terminate this Policy at any time, following consultation with our management team, to reflect changes to public health requirements and guidelines and evolving market practice.
