“... absolute enchantment ... Jacob Rajan is extraordinary.”

"Such is the power of Jacob Rajan’s ground breaking work: it changes the way you see the world ... all New Zealanders should see it."
NZ Listener

For over a decade this play has enthralled audiences here and across the world with its timeless, hilarious and profoundly touching love story.

Gobi and Zina Krishan keep their dreams stacked on the shelves of their struggling corner shop. An ordinary day will reveal an extraordinary bond and transform their dairy into a monument to love to rival the Taj Mahal.

The award winning actor Jacob Rajan plays all of the characters, aided by series of beautiful hand-carved masks.

You'll never look at your corner store in the same way again.

Krishnan's Dairy debuted in 1997 and since then has played to over 47,000, consistently receiving rave reviews and sell out houses.

"Playing all parts with lightening switches of masks, he unearths the profoundly touching comedy of these hopeful, vulnerable lives while never once patronising...”

EXTRA SHOW - added due to popular demand at 6pm Saturday 4th August.

Dinner and a Show
If you're after making a night of it when you come to Krishnan's Dairy here at Q, why not have dinner as well? Q Head Chef Kirk Lafferty has put together a delicious curried chicken meal, and combined it with a glass of wine. You have a choice of Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay or Merlot Cabernet, or the wonderful new Monsoon boutique beer: It's Indian inspired, but made here in Kiwi-land just like the show! All this for just $25. You can book your meal and drink online, when you book your show tickets.

A Note About Seating

We are trying some new seats in the auditorium for this show. Situated in the C Reserve sections of Gods level, they are higher than a traditional theatre seat and require one step to get into the seat. As a flexible venue, we are continually working to explore the best seating options in our spaces. Our aim is to improve the view of the stage from these areas and improve the audience experience of the show. Regular theatre seats are still available at the C Reserve price on Balcony Level for those who don't wish to step up to a higher position. If you do book in the trial seats, feel free to let us know what you thought!
