Lifeworld (in five parts) By Footnote New Zealand Dance

Claire O’Neil’s Lifeworld (in five parts) is a brand new dance work that finds humour in the unspoken rules we live by and elevates the mundane through movement. Footnote New Zealand Dance performs Lifeworld at Q for one night only on Friday November 4.

Lifeworld (in five parts) will be the first full-length Footnote New Zealand Dance show for dancer Joshua ‘Fale’ Faleatua, who joins the company through their annual paid internship programme. Fale is a University of Auckland dance graduate with a strong background in hip hop, and says he likes having the time to explore ideas in the life/world of contemporary dance.

LIFE: Fale was born in Canterbury and raised in South Auckland. His interest in dance strengthened in line with his love of video games, and he still takes inspiration from the way characters move in games when developing material for dance.
WORLD: From being part of the World Championship-winning Identity Dance Company in 2015, to performing in the World of WearableArt Awards with Footnote this year, Fale is well prepared to leap into Claire O’Neil’s Lifeworld
