The future of comedy is here with Next Big Things, showcasing ten fresh comedians in an impressively hilarious stand-up show.

Hosted by Ben Hurley (TV3’s 7 Days), check out these talented comedians making their name on the kiwi comedy circuit and beyond.

Your Next Big Things for 2016 are:

Angella Dravid - Enticingly dark and perfectly strange. As seen on Funny Girls, and winner of Best Newcomer at the 2015 Comedy Guild Awards.

Brendan Kelly -  Captivating audiences with his unique mix of heart-felt stories and absurdity. Brendan was a Raw Comedy Quest Finalist in 2014.

Dave McCartney -  Self-deprecating but with a contagiously charismatic personality, Dave was a finalist in the 2015 Raw Comedy Quest.

Donna Brookbanks - Irresistibly quirky, Donna’s stand-up is a colourful explosion of curiosity and intrigue. A core member in the improv show Snort.

The Fan Brigade - A musical comedy duo armed with a stringed instrument – and not afraid to use it. As seen on TV3’s AotearoHA and 7 Days.

Frickin Dangerous - Bro NZ’s brownest, funniest and cockiest sketch comedy trio. As seen on TV3’s AotearoHA.

Louise Beuvink - Delightfully dry and with welcomed darkness, Louise was nominated Best Female Comedian in the 2014 Comedy Guild Awards.

Melanie Bracewell - With goofy observations and natural stage charisma, Melanie is a master of anecdotes. She won the 2015 National Raw Comedy Quest.

Scott W Long - An outgoing introvert, Scott’s wit, tomfoolery and honesty will have you in stiches. He was a finalist in the Raw Comedy Quest in 2015.

Tony Lyall - A confident slacker, Tony takes the audience on a trip. He was a Raw Comedy Quest Semi-finalist in 2015.
