Q Theatre has been part of Auckland Pride Festival since we hosted the Pride Gala in 2013 and it just gets bigger and better every year.

Auckland Pride 2019 is about connecting people with purpose. Powerful communities are created only when individuals join together around a common idea.

Q’s annual Pride programme creates a platform for LGBTQIA+ artists, celebrates the LGBTQIA+ experience, explores the multiplicity of identity and creates opportunities for artists to present work in the festival context that Auckland Pride generates, in a meaningful and impactful way, one which speaks to the human experience.

In 2018, Q’s Auckland Pride programme presented 10 seasons and events, with over 4500 people attending 28 performances with an average capacity of over 75%.

Here at Q, we curate our fringe programme with the best acts we can find and hope to offer those taking part an accessible, supportive and professional experience.

Auckland Fringe is a feistily independent open-access arts festival which runs in Auckland for a summery two weeks kicking off in late February. Open to anyone who wants to be involved, Auckland Fringe is all about inclusivity, celebration of otherness and having a dang good time in this wonderful city of ours.

In 2018, Q’s Auckland Fringe programme presented 9 productions, with over 2200 people attending 35 performances with an average capacity of over 80%!
