Music lovers and vinyl enthusiasts Johnny Elbo, Rohan St Clair and Ben Tankard, The YAM JAM DJ’s are dedicated to playing the juiciest tracks no matter what. Formed out of the community at the mighty pirate station Fleet FM, from Johnny's show Cream Of The Crop, Rohan's show Super Heavy Pressings and Ben's show Club Casualties, their aim is always to create a fantastic party vibe when we play - cause dancing is FUN and music always sounds better on vinyl!
Since 2007 Yam Jams has supported a host of diverse local and international acts including Cut Copy, Frank Booker, Recloose, Dick Johnson, Dan Aux, North Shore Pony Club, Logg Cabin, Submariner, Jillionaire (Mad Decent USA) Dj Sega (Mad Decent USA) Horse Meat Disco (London) Slap and Dash (OZ) and KILLA QUEENZ (OZ) and Scratch 22 / The Arc, Ricky Rene Maymi ( The Brian Jonestown Massacre ) DJ ADAM, Roger Perry, MC Slave, MC Kyla, Tommy Flowers and DJ Jimmy Olsen. Regularly booked by discerning party organisers for private events that want quality and difference in a market thats flooded with same-same laptop playing solo - act DJ’s, the Yam Jams bring enthusiastic, spirited, inclusive and timeless music that can only be provided by true vinyl and music lovers.
