Sally-Anne brings over 30 years of leadership experience across the creative, business, and public sectors in New Zealand and internationally. Most recently, as Executive Director of TAPAC, she transformed the organisation into a financially sustainable and innovative hub for performing arts. Her career has also spanned senior roles in television production, film development, legal practice, and government cultural agencies in both New Zealand and Australia.
Originally from Wellington, Sally-Anne studied law, entrepreneurship, politics, sociology, English and Māori at Waikato, Auckland and Otago universities. She has lived and worked in Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Sydney, London and New York.
Sally-Anne is recognised for her strategic vision, financial acumen, and change leadership, guiding organisations through periods of challenge and growth while promoting creativity and community engagement. We are confident her leadership will ensure Q continues to thrive as a vital home for the performing arts in Tāmaki Makaurau.
We also extend our deep appreciation to Barb Glaser, who has served as Interim Chief Executive since June. Barb’s contribution has been invaluable in maintaining stability and momentum, and she will finish on 19 September following a short handover period with Sally-Anne and our team.
We look forward to welcoming Sally-Anne to Q Theatre and working alongside her in the next exciting phase of Q’s journey.
