
Penelope is an enthusiastic supporter of performing arts, recognising through her own failed attempts at acting, the skill, passion, resilience and support needed to forge a career in the sector.
Her expertise lies in brand and communications strategy and execution as well as stakeholder management. She has over 25 years’ experience in leadership roles of public and private sector organisations, including a decade in the UK at Omnicom group agencies, working on some of the world’s top brands across the UK, Europe and SMEA.
Penelope’s first career was in broadcasting, working as a broadcast meteorologist, presenter and journalist on One News as well as shows such as Made in New Zealand (business) and Body and Soul (health and well-being).
Penelope is a trustee of Global Women and Independent Schools of New Zealand.
