We couldn't be more thrilled to announce that Melissa Fergusson will be joining us as the new Head of Marketing and Brand Communications, following the departure of Alice Kenealy earlier this month. This job is an integral part of the Q whānau and our senior leadership team, and we can't wait to see what Melissa brings to the role.
Melissa's journey with Q Theatre has been one of appreciation and passion, as a regular patron over the past few years. Now, we're delighted to welcome her to the office, where her expertise and enthusiasm will undoubtedly make a significant impact.
"Theatre has been integral to my life from a young age, and I'm super excited to join the amazing Q team and its diverse community. I've encountered thought-provoking, awe-inspiring shows at Q, and I'm eager to deepen my involvement in the creative process. Working with talented individuals across various roles – from theatre makers to comedians – is a joy, and I'm delighted to help showcase their exceptional work across different platforms, engaging both new and existing audiences.” - Melissa
Melissa has over a decade of experience in delivering exceptional marketing, digital, creative, and consulting services across the arts, charity, public and private sectors in Aotearoa and offshore. She completed her Master in Technological Futures at AcademyEX in 2021 and brings a collaborative and innovative approach to Q.
Melissa also has an extensive background in theatre and film having worked as a director, playwright, screenwriter, and producer for over 15 years in Australasia and is a member of Women in Film and Television NZ (WIFT).
We're eagerly anticipating her arrival at the end of this month and are looking forward to the fresh perspectives and ideas she'll bring to the team. Join us in extending her a warm welcome, as we embark on this exciting new chapter together!
