A Kind of Fury is a new theatrical work that reimagines The Furies; the Greek mythological trio of goddesses who enacted retribution on the world, as a modern-day group of women. Tasked with running an underground organisation that keeps the worlds injustices in check, they've got their work cut out for them.
On boarding their latest batch of new recruits to keep up with demands, chaos ensues (the state, not the founding father of Greece). Wheelie-chairs and knifes are spun, tempers and kettles boil.
A new play written by Alice Pearce, A Kind of Fury investigates female rage, cycles, and the dynamics of justice and bureaucracy. It’s a darkly comic and surrealist look at order, power, and rage; and what it is to be a woman wielding these.
