An award-winning musical about memory, family, love, and the things we keep.

A Box of Memories is a deeply moving and warmly human musical about living with dementia, not only as a diagnosis, but as an experience that reshapes identity, relationships and daily life.

At the centre of the story is Lizzy, a woman navigating the gradual changes to her memory and sense of self. Alongside her are Sonia, her daughter, caught between love, grief and responsibility, and Jeremy, the doctor trying to support Lizzy and her family within the pressures of the health system.

Through original music, humour and emotional honesty, A Box of Memories gives voice to experiences that are often hidden or misunderstood. It invites audiences to see the person beyond the illness, and to recognise dignity, memory, connection and love as central to care.

Premiering to a sell-out season at the 2022 Adelaide Fringe Festival, the musical has since had further seasons in Sydney and Adelaide and was commissioned to open the Centre of Innovation and Humanising Care Conference in Pittsburgh, USA.
