Zheng’s Music Studio 10th Annual Concert – Guzheng & Percussion
Zheng’s Music Studio’s 10th Annual Concert showcases guzheng ensembles by Boya Guzheng with percussion, as well as Lin Zheng performing her original work featuring APO percussionist Eric Renick.
Experience an afternoon of captivating music as Zheng’s Music Studio presents its 10th Annual Concert. This year’s program celebrates the expressive beauty of the Chinese guzheng and the dynamic energy of percussion in a unique cross-cultural showcase.
All performers are members of Boya Guzheng, the student ensemble group of Zheng’s Music Studio, where students of all ages and skill levels take centre stage. They will present ensembles accompanied by percussion, highlighting the rich traditions and modern interpretations of guzheng music. From graceful classics to lively contemporary arrangements, their performances reflect the dedication and artistry nurtured at Zheng’s Music Studio over the past decade.
Guzheng artist teacher Lin Zheng will perform her original composition, collaborating with APO Principal Percussionist Eric Renick. This special feature offers audiences a rare opportunity to hear the delicate strings of the guzheng and the vibrant rhythms of percussion in harmony — an inspiring dialogue between two musical worlds.
Whether you are a lover of traditional Chinese music, curious about cross-cultural performance, or simply seeking a memorable outing, this concert promises to delight. Join us in celebrating ten years of music-making, community, and cultural connection.
