Paul Bosauder is in many respects a cultural ambassador, performing around the world as a highly regarded flamenco guitarist and composer, promoting his love of this music along with his love for his country of origin – Aotearoa. Paul has recently returned home, following fourteen years working and creating with Spain’s elite flamenco artists. In 2016, Paul received Matricula de Honor while completing his studies at ESMUC becoming the first kiwi to graduate with a performing arts degree in flamenco guitar.

In 2018 he introduced Australasia to his work resulting in a completely sold-out summer tour. Paul’s debut flamenco guitar album Tierra y Mar, reached #1 on the NZ Independent Album charts across all genres. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, Mexico, USA and Australasia including live TV performances to audiences in Mexico and Spain. This summer, Paul will be joined on stage by world-class artists Tristan Carter (violin), Rachel Wells (cello), Phill Jones (percussion) and Jessica Garland (dance) as he shares his passion for flamenco music and dance in the intimate Rangatira theatre.

"...a masterful exposition of the art of flamenco" - Ambient Light (Hawke's Bay Arts Festival 2021)

"An elegant work, expressive and true to the heart of flamenco" - Toni Carrasco, www.naciodigital.cat (Barcelona 2018)

"Paul is breaking down geographic boundaries to remind us that flamenco belongs to all of us. His music and playing projects an unrivalled artistic personality" - Norberto Torres Cortes, La Musa y el Duende No. 18, Flamenco Magazine (Sevilla 2018)

    Double Goer

Joy. Power. Sensuality. Rage. Double Goer is a wild theatrical dance celebration of the intense emotional bonds of female relationships – a deeply surreal work in which two strikingly similar female performers are born, reborn, meet, battle, and try to find the limits of and spaces between their bodies.
