Two of New Zealand’s premiere singer-songwriters take the stage together for the first time in half a decade. Dave Baxter (Avalanche City) and Luke Thompson met over 20 years ago studying music together in Hamilton and have been friends and collaborators ever since.
Avalanche City is an NZ Indie-Folk artist with multiple #1 hits. ‘Love, Love, Love’, a hopeful summer anthem, won the 2011 Silver Scroll and became a mainstay of NZ Radio and TV. He’s headlined shows across Europe, US, Australia and NZ.
Luke Thompson is a veteran singer-songwriter, touring with artists such as Toto, Passenger, Boy & Bear and The Paper Kites. His 2016 self produced album ‘Hosts’ was nominated for NZ Music award for Best Folk Album. This August sees him playing over 20 concerts on his third tour in China.
Dave and Luke are excited to perform together at Q Theatre, in what is sure to be a night to remember.

A haze machine will be used. This is a family friendly concert.
A performance revue like you'll never get in an office tower! This cheeky number takes on the ridiculous and objectionable in the modern workplace in the form of the blues, rap, latin plainchant and more to see what meets expectations and what needs improvement.
For the first time, iconic New Zealand band stellar* will perform their Mix album in its entirety, to celebrate the chart-topping album’s 25th anniversary. Stellar* will also perform fan favourites and hits from their other albums Magic Line and Something Like Strangers, as well as a surprise or two.
